Very nice! Is it a ghost print? It's so atmospheric and pale.

Thank you!
This one isn't a ghost print, I think they come out pale like this because I am printing them without a press.

its great fun to do!
looking back at these I think the pale quality also comes from the japanese paper I used to print these ones on.

Do you print with a burnishing spoon? I've heard tell of standing on plates, using wooden spoons, and even driving over plates with cars to print them without a press.

I've been printing ones without a background with a metal spoon but ones like this where I've rollered the background I kept getting swirly lines so these were literally printed with just my hands and a cloth.
I've tried sitting on them and using stacks of heavy books but i kept smudging the prints. I haven't quite gone as far as taking a car to it yet haha
Thanks for the watch by the way!

This is the best ever.
I hope monoprinting is easier on your hands than etching. Is it all going well?

Thank you Jack :)
I have discovered that I really really love monoprinting! its amazing how much you can do with it, i never realised before.
its much easier on my hands, plus i'm doing it from home and can use safe wash inks and silly looking cotton gloves lol
